Staff Profile

Dannee Damerell

Education:

  • University of Utah, B.A. in Sociology/Criminology
  • Westminster University, Paralegal Certificate

I was born and raised in Oregon, and I’ve had the pleasure to make all parts of the Willamette Valley my home. I attended University of Utah earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology in 1990, and then went on to receive a Paralegal Certificate from Westminster University. Since 1992, I have provided paralegal services to law firms in Utah and Oregon, in workers compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and mass tort/class action litigation until 2004, when I created That Girl PI, a private investigator firm in the Portland Metro Area focused on criminal defense investigation. A call to the south end of the Willamette Valley brought me to Eugene in 2014, where I found my place with Kirk Strohman, assisting with his probate and estate planning matters. I strive to apply a professional and compassionate approach when working with our clients, hoping to ease the stress in an otherwise difficult time.

When not in the office, you will probably find me in the garden with my chickens, rabbits and honeybees. I am a Master Food Preserver and budding herbalist, and try to grow as much of my own food and medicine as possible. I enjoy yoga, kayaking, beach trips, and spending time with my husband playing on our urban homestead.
