Professional Background
My primary practice area is estate planning and estate administration. As an estate planning attorney, I enjoy advising clients on the different strategies available then allowing the client to choose the option that best fits their needs. As a board member of the Eugene Estate Planning Council, I am committed to educating local professionals about estate planning so that the Eugene-Springfield community can be better served. My practice also includes advising clients on business and real estate transaction matters.
While in law school, I served on the board of the Oregon Law Review as an Articles Editor and worked as a research assistant assisting professors with legal research and writing coursework and securities research. I also worked as a law clerk at a local firm prior to graduation.
Prior to law school, I worked in mental health for both children with behavioral disorders and adults with traumatic brain injuries.
Personal Background
I was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I attended Radford University in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, where I majored in history and minored in media studies. My wife and I moved to Eugene, OR where I initiated my legal career by attending University of Oregon School of Law. After graduation, my wife and I decided to make Eugene, OR our permanent home due the Pacific Northwest’s beauty and great people.
Outside of work you can catch me on the soccer field, on the lake, or at the campsite crammed in the pop-up camper with my wife and two children.
